Cycling Ho Chi Minh Trails Vietnam- Ha Noi - Hoi An 12 Days
Overview
Our bicycle tours will avoid cycling on traffic roads and highways as much as possible, ride into the stunning countryside, and never forget to take you to the historical relics of Ho Chi Minh trails. Today, numerous series of rural roads, small pathways, mirror roads through beautiful countryside, valleys, spectacular mountain ranges, and country farms have been built and well-maintained along the new Ho Chi Minh roads running from north to west-central provinces of Vietnam.
The Ho Chi Minh Trails called Annamite Range Trail, was a logistical network of roads and trails that ran from the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Vietnam through the kingdoms of Laos and Cambodia from 1959 to 1975. There was not just one trail but many complicated trails that ran along the borders of Laos and Cambodia. The trails were made up of pathways and small roads that crossed the numerous networks of rivers, through primarily Truong Son Mountain Ranges, rainforest jungles with plenty of simple suspension bridges to supply weapons, food, and equipment.
The Vietnam War ended in 1975, and the original Ho Chi Minh trails are no more longer after rapidly developing the country. Most of the original Ho Chi Minh trails have been replaced by new roads, high ways and traffic roads, but all the old military bases, airports, cemeteries, hill bases have been exact locations since the war ended.
