Biking Phnom Penh to Saigon - Cycle Cambodia to Vietnam 5D/4N

Have an early breakfast and a breeze morning ride to the Tinh Bien border. The impressive paths lead us through rustic villages and farmlands, houses on stilts surroundings palm trees. There will be regular stops along the way to the borderline. After immigration, we say goodbye to our Cambodian driver and bike guide, then meet Vietnam Backroads's team, enjoy Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant with the team and prepare for a bike ride to Chau Doc in the afternoon.

Cycling in the afternoon, we pedal through villages and rice fields, then to Vinh Te canals alongside the border to Sam Mountain. Visit some colorful Buhhdist pagodas, stop at small villages and lotus fields, and continue riding to Chau Doc town.

Note: Travellers still need a visa to Cambodia during the trip! Please bring 3 passport photos with you on the journey.

After early breakfast, we'll transfer 2 hours to Lo Te- T Junction via Long Xuyen City for the morning ride. Commence the day by cycling on trails through lush farmlands and tranquil villages to Co Do. Visit local homes that live mainly on raising fish, eels, frogs, and cultivating. Have lunch in Co Do town and continue the ride to Thoi Lai township. We pedal through lush farmlands in the afternoon, passing rice-husking mills and local workshops alongside canals and rivers to Thoi Lai. If time permits, we will continue exploring Phong Dien's backwaters. Transfer to Can Tho City in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride to Cai Rang floating market, and watch the activities of the floating markets when the boat travels slowly through. This is an excellent time for the photo opportunity. Then we disembark the boat and quickly transfer to rural Dist, the other side of Hau Giang River, where we will bike through green fruit orchards and a vibrant village alongside the Mekong River. On the morning bike ride, we will have some little ferry crossings and small rivers in the countryside. Lunch en route on the way. On the afternoon cycle ride, we bike on narrow country lanes through Khmer village in the countryside of Tieu Can. Stop along the Khmer villages, and experience the life and culture before riding through a verdant rice field to Tra Vinh.

Begin your last day ride at the local ferry station. The cycle routes in the Ben Tre countryside are unique. All footpaths are concrete, going through beautiful villages amongst coconut trees, water palms, and narrow bridges crossing creeks in Mo Cay, Ben Tre. Stop at local homes producing coconut fibers, coconut jelly, and soap before we finish cycling in Ben Tre and enjoy lunch before the 2-hour transfer to Ho Chi Minh. End of services!
