This is a truly memorable journey through the Mekong Delta with Vietnam Cycling Tours, offering more than just a typical trip. Over four immersive days, you won’t feel like a visitor—you’ll feel like a local, experiencing daily life up close. As you cycle along peaceful village paths and scenic riversides, you’ll discover some of the Delta’s most charming destinations, including Long Xuyen, Can Tho, Tra Vinh, and Ben Tre. Each stop reveals a unique blend of culture, nature, and hospitality, making the ride both relaxing and enriching. It’s an ideal adventure for those who want to explore gently, connect deeply, and see the authentic beauty of southern Vietnam.

Our team will leave Ho Chi Minh City for Chau Doc one day in advance so that your bike guide can meet you at your accommodation in the evening. After you are picked up in the morning, your guide will brief you on the tour before the ride starts. Following a short transfer to a rural village near Chau Doc, you will explore immense rice fields and villages along the border on the way to Tra Su cajuput forest, home to various flora including lotus and water lilies. Tra Su forest is known as a bird sanctuary and is famous for its diverse wildlife. You will enjoy a leisurely sampan rowboat and motorboat ride through the forest. 

After the boat ride, the tour will continue by bicycle along dirt tracks to Tan Phu village, where you will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, our bike guide will lead you through newly developed farming areas where local settlers have lived since after the Vietnam War, beginning in 1978. We will ride along a sizeable man-made canal, where water trucks serve as the primary means of transport. Then, you will get into our private vehicle for a short transfer to Long Xuyen City.”

Depart the hotel at 8:00 a.m. and transfer by vehicle to rural Thot Not, where your scenic cycling journey begins. Ride from village to village, sharing quiet paths with locals and enjoying a short stop at a crocodile farm to stretch and warm up.

Continue pedaling through the countryside, crossing wooden bridges into remote hamlets and meeting farmers at work in their fields. Along the way, observe daily rural life—duck, frog, and fish farming along canals and rice paddies.

After lunch at Co Do Market, resume your ride along peaceful back roads, passing vibrant local markets and lush rice fields. Cycle through a network of small canal-side villages en route to Tho Lai. From here, we'll have 1.5 hours transfer to Can Tho City. check in the hotel, and explore the Mekong Delta capital city by your own.

Your final day begins with a scenic ride along the riverside, after crossing the Mekong River by ferry. From there, you’ll cycle through lush coconut groves, vibrant fruit orchards, and charming village lanes, passing local family-run workshops that produce coconut fiber and coconut jelly.

Along the way, there will be plenty of delightful stops—sip freshly brewed coffee, sample tropical fruits at local markets, pause at small ferry crossings, and capture heartwarming moments of children at village schools. You’ll also have the chance to meet friendly locals and witness their everyday life up close.

After a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll transfer back toward Ho Chi Minh City. Tour ends with wonderful memories of the Mekong Delta.
