From there, you’ll pedal through the tranquil countryside of Cao Lanh, Can Tho, Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, and Ben Tre, weaving across the Mekong’s intricate waterways on local ferries. Your day begins with a hotel pickup in Chau Doc, followed by a scenic motorboat journey of over an hour. Today’s adventure begins with a sampan boat ride, followed by a cycling day deeper into the southern Mekong Delta, revealing picturesque landscapes and remote villages

Ride across numerous small rivers and canals, past gorgeous rice paddies, and through peaceful hamlets, the Mekong trails. Observe daily life and admire the stunning scenery while soaking in the gentle rhythm of life shared by the Khmer and Vietnamese communities.

Along the way, we stop at the historic Tam Vu Victory Monument before enjoying lunch en route to Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve. Cycling to Tra Vinh offers an amazing day of discovery through fertile farmlands, colorful Khmer temples, and countless crossings of the mighty Mekong River and its branches by local ferry boats.

In the morning, we’ll take a short transfer to a small riverside village, where we board a local ferry to cross to the other side. From there, we cycle along winding rivers and delve deep into the lush waterways of the rural district, passing fertile farmlands filled with chili, Indian taro, and tropical crops. Along the way, we gain insight into the rich history and vibrant culture of the Khmer ethnic community.

Leaving the waterways behind, we continue riding across vast rice paddies toward the outskirts of a small town, stopping to visit one of the most significant Theravada Khmer temples in Soc Trang.

The day continues with a scenic ride to a small ferry boat to Dung Island, where we cross peaceful islands before boarding the final ferry to a rural district of Tra Vinh. Cycling past numerous colorful Khmer temples and charming countryside villages, we eventually reach Tap Ngai, where a relaxing scenic transfer takes us to Tra Vinh City.
