Vietnam Countryside Discovery- Saigon to HaNoi

Be greeted at 8:00 AM and begin your first day cycling through the scenic Mekong Delta countryside. After a two-hour transfer, arrive at Ngu Hiep village, Cai Lay, collect your bikes, and ride across a new bridge onto Ngu Hiep Island.

Cycle through lush orchards and a lively local market, sampling fresh tropical fruits before taking a ferry to Tan Phong Island. Enjoy peaceful rides along narrow village paths, then continue by ferry to Cai Be. Pedal along canal-side villages and visit the beautiful Ba Kiet ancient house.

After a home-cooked local lunch, ride along the Mekong River and ferry to An Binh Island to explore more rural life. Finish with a final ferry to Vinh Long, followed by a one-hour transfer to Can Tho.

After breakfast, take a motorized boat to Cai Rang Floating Market. Watch locals trade fresh produce from their boats in a lively, colorful setting as you cruise through the market.

Cycle through the peaceful villages of Phong Dien District and Binh Thuy, enjoying lush scenery and quiet rural life. Ancient House Visit: built in 1870 mandarin house, a national relic blending French and Vietnamese styles, also featured in The Lover. Enjoy lunch before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City. Trip ends.

The Cu Chi Tunnels are an incredible underground network stretching over 250 km, used by Vietnamese guerrilla soldiers in their fight against the South Vietnamese government and American forces. The tunnels served not only for fighting, but also for living.

We depart at 7:30 a.m. from the hotel and drive out of bustling Saigon for a half-day cycling trip through several hamlets and rubber plantations en route to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Along the way, observe workers harvesting natural latex and stop at a local home to see how rice paper is made.

Upon arrival at the tunnels, we enjoy lunch at a nice restaurant by the Saigon River. Afterwards, we watch a documentary film about the tunnels during the Vietnam War. We then explore booby traps, secret entrances, fighting bunkers, and air holes before venturing into three levels of the tunnels. Finally, we visit the weapon gallery and shooting range before returning to Saigon in the afternoon.

You’ll take a morning flight to Lien Khuong Airport. Upon arrival, meet your team for a 30-minute drive via highway to Da Lat. Known as the “City of Eternal Spring” for its mild climate, Da Lat is also called the “Honeymoon City.” Developed by the French in the early 1900s, it still preserves charming colonial architecture. Today, it’s a popular destination and a key agricultural hub of Vietnam’s Central Highlands, famous for produce like strawberries, artichokes, and cauliflower.

Today’s city tour by car includes visits to the Crazy House, Bao Dai Summer Palace, and the Valley of Love, followed by a stop at XQ Historical Village to see traditional hand embroidery. After lunch at a well-known local restaurant, take a scenic train ride through farmland and greenhouses to Trai Mat village. Explore local life and visit the striking Linh Phuoc Pagoda. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon, with free time to explore Da Lat on foot in the evening.

The climate in Dalat is ideal for both relaxation and adventure, with average temperatures ranging from 14–23°C (57–73°F). The highest recorded temperature is 31.5°C (88.7°F).

Depart at 8:00 am for a one-hour transfer to Bidoup National Park, northeast of Dalat, where your scenic ride begins. Cycle through rolling hills, pine forests, valleys, and lush farmlands along winding roads through tropical rainforest. The route offers stunning landscapes and a mix of gentle stretches and challenging climbs.

One of the highlights is the final ascent to Khanh Le (Hon Giao). Though only a few kilometers long, the climb is steep, so a support vehicle is recommended. At around 1,500 meters above sea level, the summit rewards you with spectacular views of mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and dense rainforest—perfect for photos.

After enjoying snacks, cold drinks, and fresh fruit, continue with a thrilling 29 km downhill ride to a riverside restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, the ride becomes easier as you follow narrow paths through villages and farmland, passing sugar cane fields and rice paddies. Meet locals, stop at a market for coffee and snacks, then continue to the historic Dien Khanh Citadel before a short transfer to Nha Trang in the late afternoon.

The distance between Nha Trang and Quy Nhon is quite long, making it difficult to fully explore both in a single day. To maximize your experience, there will be a 1-hour vehicle transfer at midday, allowing you to enjoy the best cycling routes in the afternoon. The ride is divided into two sections: 30 km in the morning and 35 km in the afternoon.

We depart at 7:30 AM for a 1.5-hour transfer to a small town, where the cycling begins. The morning route takes you through a charming seaside town, past rice paddies, and into the surrounding hills. You’ll follow a scenic trail to a small fishing village, then continue through salt fields and seafood farms before reaching Co Ma Pass. Lunch will be served at Dai Lanh Beach.

After lunch, you’ll enjoy a 1-hour vehicle transfer to another village, where the afternoon ride begins. This 30 km stretch passes through picturesque villages and along a beautiful lagoon. Along the way, you’ll see colorful fishing boats and lush farmland. The route winds through vibrant countryside and along a lively lagoon dotted with traditional fishing sampans. The road then gently undulates through rice and vegetable fields before crossing a wooden bridge over the river to reach the highway.

Quang Ngai, about 180 km north of Quy Nhon, is steeped in history and cultural significance. Its most notable site, the Sơn Mỹ Memorial in Son My Village, commemorates the tragic My Lai Massacre of 1968, where at least 504 civilians lost their lives. Today, it offers a meaningful and reflective glimpse into Vietnam’s past.

In contrast, Quy Nhon enchants visitors with its stunning coastline, peaceful fishing villages, and tranquil lagoons. With pristine beaches, offshore islands, and scenic seascapes, it’s a highlight of Vietnam’s central coast.

After checking out, we leave Quy Nhon City and cross the sea suspension bridge on a short transfer before beginning a scenic morning ride along Thi Nai Lagoon toward Phu My. The route follows quiet backroads, gentle hills, and coastal stretches with sweeping views of bays and mountains.

Continuing through flat coastal farmlands, we pass traditional villages where life centers on farming and fishing. Along the way, enjoy fresh local seafood and experience authentic village life while cycling beside the serene Tra O Lagoon—greeting friendly locals and soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

The day ends with a comfortable transfer to Quang Ngai City, concluding a journey rich in coastal beauty and cultural discovery.

Hoi An is a perfect place to unwind for a few days in central Vietnam. Its charming narrow streets, glowing with colorful lanterns, reflect its past as a major trading port of the Cham Kingdom in the 16th–17th centuries, influenced by both Hindu and Arab cultures.

In the morning, transfer to the My Lai Massacre Memorial to learn about its history. Then cycle through peaceful rice fields and rural villages on flat paths, passing local markets and meeting friendly residents along the way. Continue riding through lush farmland before a one-hour transfer to Tam Ky for lunch, avoiding the midday heat.

In the afternoon, transfer to Ha Lam and enjoy a relaxed ride along the Truong Giang River. Discover quiet villages, green rice paddies, and scenic backroads, including the charming paths of Cam Kim Island, before crossing the bridge back to Hoi An.

Today is free for you to explore Hoi An at your own pace and enjoy relaxing time on the sandy beaches.

After a one-hour transfer to Da Nang, you’ll have the option to either cycle rolling hills and challenge yourself on the legendary Hai Van Pass—a 12 km climb to the summit—or relax and take the vehicle to the top. From here, take in sweeping views over Da Nang Bay and capture stunning photos at Hai Van Gate, a recognized national relic.

After a well-earned break, enjoy a scenic descent by bike to Lang Co Beach, where a fresh seafood lunch awaits at a local beachfront restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue riding along gently rolling hills before crossing Tu Hien Bridge. Follow shaded paths through a quiet peninsula, cycling along dirt tracks by the sea—perfect for a relaxed, off-the-beaten-path experience. Cross another bridge to the far side of the lagoon and discover charming villages rarely visited by tourists. Along the way, stop at small local markets and traditional fishing communities to experience authentic daily life.

The journey continues toward Hue, riding through peaceful countryside to the city’s outskirts, followed by a short transfer into the city center.

The Imperial Citadel of Hue, built in 1802 by the Nguyen Dynasty, served as Vietnam’s political and cultural center until 1945. Set along the winding Perfume River, it reflects the grandeur of a former imperial capital, though many structures were damaged during the 1968 Tet Offensive.

Begin your visit at the Forbidden Purple City, once reserved exclusively for the emperor, his servants, and concubines. Then enjoy a relaxing dragon boat cruise along the Perfume River—an ideal way to take in Hue’s peaceful scenery away from the busy roads. The cruise includes stops at Thien Mu Pagoda and Ho Chem Temple.

After disembarking, continue by vehicle to visit local family workshops producing conical hats, handicrafts, and incense. The journey then leads to the impressive royal tombs of Khai Dinh and Minh Mang. Return to Hue in the late afternoon to freshen up and unwind before dinner with the group. In the evening, board a luxury train for an overnight journey to Nam Dinh City.

Nam Dinh is a city in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam, about 90 km southeast of Hanoi. The province is renowned for the annual festival honoring General Trần Hưng Đạo, who defeated the Mongol invasions in the 13th century. The festival takes place from August 18 to 20 each year.

Upon arrival at Nam Dinh train station, enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant before transferring by vehicle to a rural village in Thai Binh to begin today’s ride. Cycle through scenic rice paddies and vegetable fields, cross rivers by ferry, and follow quiet country roads along the waterways. Continue riding across fertile farmland and tobacco fields toward Vinh Bao, where you will stop for lunch.

In the afternoon, cycle onward to Tien Lang, then transfer by vehicle to Hai Phong to conclude the day.

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we transfer by comfortable vehicle to Dinh Vu Ferry Station and board a scenic ferry to Cat Hai Island. From there, we cycle across the lively, colorful island, passing charming fishing villages before reaching the next ferry to Cat Ba Island. After the second crossing, we continue biking toward Cat Ba town, tackling a series of gentle yet rewarding hills along picturesque coastal roads.

Along the way, soak in the breathtaking natural scenery—sweeping ocean bays, dramatic limestone landscapes, and the lush, emerald rainforest of Cat Ba National Park undulating gracefully toward the shoreline. Upon arrival in Cat Ba town, we check in to our accommodation, enjoy a delicious lunch, and spend the rest of the day by the beach.

After a leisurely, refreshing breakfast, we check out and begin our scenic cycling journey directly from the hotel. Pedaling along quiet, winding roads, we cross the lush, enchanting Cat Ba National Park, gently climbing a series of rolling, picturesque hills en route to peaceful Ga Luan. This remarkable national park, the largest of the 367 islands in the breathtaking Cat Ba Archipelago, spans over 102 square miles and is home to a rich, vibrant diversity of flora and fauna.

The cool, tranquil morning offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the island’s natural beauty—cycling through dense, emerald rainforests, tackling gentle yet rewarding ascents, and enjoying sweeping, panoramic views that unfold at every turn. After this invigorating ride, we board a boat to cruise through the legendary Ha Long Bay.

Take a 4-hour shuttle to Ha Noi with lunch en route. 

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, enjoy some relaxed and delightful shopping before a comfortable transfer to the international airport for your onward flight home.
