Experience the vibrant culture and everyday life of locals in Ben Tre, where the rhythm of the Mekong Delta unfolds gently along winding waterways. Venture into Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve to explore its rich flora and fauna, enjoying peaceful hikes and scenic boat rides through untouched wetlands. Along the way, stop at a lively local market in Hau Giang, where you can see farmers selling snacks and a variety of birds.

Continue your journey through Sa Dec, a charming village famed for its colorful flower gardens, before immersing yourself in the tranquil beauty of Xeo Quyt cajuput forest. Throughout the trip, you’ll gain a deeper connection to life in the Mekong’s lowlands and its unique natural charm.

You’ll be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Nhat Tao in Long An, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. The day begins with an easy 20 km morning ride along smooth, scenic paths, where you can take in the peaceful countryside at your own pace. Along the way, enjoy picturesque views and plenty of photo opportunities on betel tree–lined trails. Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, an ancient southern architectural gem in Tien Giang en route, and have lunch in town.

In the afternoon, on arrival in Ben Tre, board on a private boat at Hung Vuong Pier, cruise along the Mekong River, and experience the unique lifestyle of the Mekong Delta as you visit fruit orchards, coconut groves, brick workshops, and home-made products such as coconut candies, rice cakes, and handicrafts. The day concludes with check-in at a cozy homestay.

After breakfast, we'll hop on our bikes, gently pedaling through the peaceful countryside. The paths are peaceful and shaded, lined with swaying coconut trees and stretches of green orchards that seem to follow the curves of small, winding rivers. There will be many stops along the way, visit local homes, where families continue traditional crafts—hand-weaving sleeping mats, skillfully shaping thatch roofs, and preparing homemade snacks that carry generations of flavor and care.

The journey continues onto the water as we board a rowed sampan and glide through narrow canals shaded by dense nipa palms. We walk along village paths and enjoy fresh tropical fruits, honey, and tea. By midday, we gather to savor an authentic Mekong meal, rich with local ingredients and flavors that reflect the Mekong Delta’s abundance. After lunch, we settle into a comfortable shuttle ride, allowing ourselves two hours to relax as we make our way toward Can Tho. We'll stop and visit Bonsai, orchards, and ornamental plants before heading to Can Tho City.

There will be no cycling today. Instead, we’ll spend half a day exploring the wildlife and natural beauty of Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve. This protected forest is a true hidden gem near Can Tho—perfect for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and anyone seeking a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path experience.

After breakfast, we’ll travel by shuttle for about one hour to reach the reserve, which covers a 2,800-hectare wetland area. Upon arrival, we’ll explore the Mekong Delta’s “green lung” by boat, gliding through its lush waterways. We’ll then take a short hike of around 1.2 km along forest paths, listening to the birds singing and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere, and having photo taken at the famous giant heritage ficus tree.

After lunch, we’ll return to Can Tho, with a visit to a local market along the way. The rest of the day is your own time by the pools.
