At the first blush of dawn, we set out for Angkor, a quiet transfer accompanied by a simple breakfast to go. As the horizon awakens in hues of gold and rose, we arrive at the majestic Angkor Wat, where the rising sun casts a spellbinding glow upon its timeless towers. We wander through its sacred corridors and along its ancient galleries, uncovering the rich history and profound symbolism etched into every stone.

Amidst the emerald canopy, we encounter the grand remains of Angkor Thom and the enigmatic smiles of Bayon Temple, alongside lesser-known sanctuaries that whisper stories of a bygone era. Our ride culminates at Ta Prohm, a hauntingly beautiful temple where nature reigns supreme—towering roots and trailing vines entwine with crumbling stone, creating a scene both mystical and poetic. We leave Siem Reap for Battambang today, with a transfer to Tonlé Sap for a boat ride across the lake to Battambang. This is a great opportunity to observe the daily lives of locals living along the Tonlé Sap and Sangker Rivers.


After the boat enters the Sangker River, we will disembark and begin a bicycle ride. After a few kilometers on the road, we turn onto small dirt tracks, cycling along the river and passing tiny villages, primary schools, lush green fields, and the Samrong Knong Killing Field before arriving in Battambang city.

Here, the landscape opens into breathtaking vistas—emerald rice paddies swaying in the breeze, fragrant durian orchards, and charming villages nestled amid the greenery.


As the day draws to a close, we rejoin Highway 57, where our support vehicle awaits. A comfortable 30-minute transfer carries us onward to Pailin town, bringing a serene and memorable day of exploration to its perfect end.
