Bike trips from Saigon to Ha Noi with Vietnam Cycling Tours. Vietnam has long and lovely coastal routes with iconic beaches, ancient Cham ruins, and fascinating royal tombs and pagodas. The following days are in Mekong Delta, Dalat city and ride down the mountain to Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Quang Ngai, Hoi An, Hue through Dong Ha to Dong Hoi. The region's highlights are Hoi An and Hue, the battle of DMZ and Phong Nha Ke Bang with incredible karst formations and caves. Vietnam Backroads designed this tour for those who want to combine back roads biking adventure with visits to many of Vietnam's most important sites. The time visits four of the seven Vietnamese UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Hoi An Ancient Town, the Hue Citadel, and Phong Nha and Son Doong Caves are on the nine-day biking portion of the tour, which begins in Ho Chi Minh, then to Dalat. From there, it rolls down to the coastal plain and then meanders up, down and along roads, paths and ride through DMZ, Quang Tri, Dong Hoi on trails to Phong Nha. Visits to the beautiful Paradise and Dark caves in this area show why UNESCO chose to add it to its list. An overnight cruise on the fifth site, Ha Long Bay, is an excursion that all visitors to Vietnam should experience. This tour will give a broad cross-section of Vietnam's culture, geography, and ancient and modern history.

You commence your cycling journey on the first day with 1.5 hours transfer to the rural villages of Cay Lay Dist. Arrives in Ngu Hiep village, you take a ferry boat to Ngu Hiep island where you experience the local life, ride through lush orchards, a small market full of fresh tropical fruits. Taste fresh fruits before you take the second ferry, Tan Phong island.

The routes on Tan Phong island are nice, narrow ways through rustic villages and a tiny town. Then you enjoy the last ferry take you to Cai Be township and continue cycling into small villages by a canal, visit one of the most beautiful typical ancient houses- Ba Kiet house in Cai Be. After the visit, you will have special local meal offers by the host at this house. You'll have a morning flight to Lien Khuong Airport. On arrival, be met by the team for 45 minutes drive on freeways to Dalat city. Dalat called is the "City of Eternal Spring" for its distinctive temperate climate. The other name called by locals is the "Honeymoon City". It was developed as a resort by the French in the early 1900s, the first wooden hotel built in 1907, and many reminders of its colonial heritage remain. Da Lat is a famous tourist destination and one of Vietnam central highland's agricultural growth. Depart at 8:00 am, have an hour vehicle transfer to Bidoup National Park, northeast of Dalat, where your adventurous ride through spectacular scenery. You cycle on a new road, rolling hills, pine forest, green farmlands, on the winding road through the tropical rainforest. The ride allows you to undulate through lush farmlands, admire the romantic landscape and comfortable climate. Some hills are real challenges for you with beautiful valleys surround and numerous tropical forests.

One of the most interesting for mountain challenge lovers is the last hills to the top as you conquer the mountain top of Khanh Le (called Hon Giao) it's not a long way. It's just a couple of km, as it short distance but a little bit vertical. It's better to take a support vehicle to the mountain top. Khanh Le mountain top is about 1500m above sea level, where you enjoy the most spectacular mountain scenery in central Vietnam. This is your endless opportunity for photos and enjoys every minute through valleys, waterfalls, with lush rainforest. Enjoy more snacks, cold drinks, and fresh fruits before riding downhill for 29 km. It's a fabulous ride of the day, and you have a delicious lunch at the local restaurant by the River, right at the foot of the pass.

The ride in the afternoon is entirely different from the morning's adventures, and it's effortless. Your guide will lead you to ride on narrow paths to explore hamlets, meet locals in farmlands of sugar cane, rice paddy, enjoy the beautiful countryside of Khanh Vinh, stop at the local market for coffee, snack, fresh fruits. Then we continue biking onwards onward to the ancient Dien Khanh citadel before you have a short transfer to the city of Nha Trang in the late afternoon.

Quy Nhon is well known for its beautiful countrysides, long beautiful coastal routes and Cham temples. It creates terrific views along the coastline, islands, many beautiful sandy beaches, scenic spots that attract many mountain bike lovers. Your guide divides today's ride into 2 sections because the distance from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon is a very long way for us to challenge within a day.

After your breakfast, take an early start from Nha Trang with 1.5 hours vehicle transfers to the tiny town of Van Ninh. The small town is running along the coast with stunning views and lively little markets along. The small road gets through town, then to rice paddies, rustic rural areas before we follow a small trail to a tiny fishing village before cycling through salt and seafood farms.  As we reach Co Ma Pass, we get on vehicle drive to Dai Lanh Beach for Lunch.

We'll have 1-hour transfer drive us to the O Loan Lagoon. We cycle on the beautiful road along the lagoon. View the colour fishing boats and lush farmlands along the routes. It's fantastic bike routes through the fascinating countryside and lively lagoon with several fishing boats. Further, the back road undulates across farmlands of a sweet potato field and tapioca fields before cross the River wooden bridge to the highway. Finally, we have a transfer to Qui Nhon City.

Quy Nhon province has many beautiful sea lakes, lagoons, rustic countrysides, and authentic villages along the stunning coast. You will immerse yourself into nature today. We commence with a short vehicle transfer to the outskirts and cross the peninsula's longest sea bridge.

Explore life along Thi Nai lagoon, undulate the roads, past sand dune, tiny villages, small towns. Followed by the beautiful coast to De Ghi, the routes run along with mountains, some quaint fishing villages,  with incredible landscapes—great places for mountain bike and nature lovers. Afterwards, carry on biking to experience the local culture, the life of people along the villages to lake/lagoon, enjoy the lovely scenery of the largest lagoon in the afternoon. The landscape along the lake is beautiful, with gentle mountain views and lush cultivating lands before the ride down to the coast,  past shrimp farms along the way. The morning starts with a short drive to the My Lai Massacre Memorial for 30 minutes visit. We cycle through rice fields and authentic villages, and beautiful countryside. After breakfast, we check out the hotel for the support vehicle transfer to Da Nang. Warm-up our body to challenge the Pass. Today adventure ride will be divided into 2 sections. In the morning, a mountain top challenge is 12 km of Hai Van Pass and rides downhill another 12 km to Lang Co beach for lunch. It's an opportunity for mountain bike lovers. The option for whose love to reach the mountain pass is to sit on the support vehicle instead of riding up.

From the top, you view spectacular scenery, the ocean bay of Da Nang. The last section is after lunch, and we continue our ride from Tu Hien Bridge- a seaside village. The routes are undulating, rising more down than up in the peninsula, along lakes and lagoons. Ride past colourful quaint huge cemeteries, ancient pagodas, and lush farms of vegetables and smaller towns.

Quang Tri and DMZ area is the most dangerous battle in Vietnam War. The one well-known historic site is Hien Luong Bridge - over the Ben Hai River. The river location is the 17 parallel and was the divided line between North and South Vietnam. Quang Tri citadel was built in 1809, but most was destroyed during the Vietnam War. The most dangerous battle began on 28 June 1972 and lasted 81 days until 16 September 1972. It became the tomb of thousands of Vietnamese soldiers.

We'll start early in the morning at 7:30 with a visit to the Imperial Purple Citadel. Hue became the capital city of feudalism Vietnam after Nguyen Anh Lord reunified the country. He built up the Imperial Citadel in 1802, and the feudalism society ended in 1945. After an hour visiting the Imperial, take a short vehicle drive to the seaside village, where you explore various scenery; quaint hamlets and beautiful shore. The routes are unpaved trails, Past old village gates, colourful traditional temples and pagodas along the coast.

Today you will have a seafood lunch at the local beach before the ride continues to Quang Ancient Citadel. The route to Citadel is relatively flat concrete paths, passing old villages and many old pretty houses with internal courtyards. The rural ways are smooth concrete and zig-zag through lush, fertile vegetable fields with narrow bridges over the canals and rivers. Visit Quang Tri Citadel, take a water break, and learn more about the remains of the Old Citadel with well-informed about the battle in 1972. Afterward, we continue the day along the river, spending more time on country back roads, sometimes traveling locally, stopping at some pagodas, enjoy peaceful scenery along the way to Dong Ha.

Followed by breakfast at the hotel, we check out and travel by support vehicle to Hien Luong Bridge,- Ben Hai River was the boundary between North and South Vietnam was 76.1 km in length and crossed from east to west near the Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. The DMZ- Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone was established as the borderline between North and South Vietnam from July 1954 to 1976. With 81 fierce days and nights at Quang Tri.

We walk on the historic bridge to another side, take some photos, view the peaceful Ben Hai River, and visit its History Museum before starting the morning ride from this museum to Vinh Moc Tunnels. We cycle on tranquil back roads along this river, past lotus fields and several hamlets. We will stop at Cua Tung fishing Town to get an excellent opportunity to explore the live fishing market, walk the fishing port, and ride to Cua Tung Bridge to view beautiful beaches and the town. Enjoy the Vietnamese coffee, snacks, fresh fruits at a local restaurant faced to the sea. Then we pick up the bikes and continue biking on a coastal route to Vinh Moc Tunnels, and we pass by sandy beaches along the ways.

After lunch, we'll transfer 2. hours to Dong Hoi, continue the day with exploring the authentic villages alongside mountain hills and quiet rivers. See buffalos on paddy fields, elderly with colonial hats working on farmlands, cycle on dirt tracks until we leave the jungle, and ride intensely into farmland along the mountain on narrow pathways. Have a great view of the spectacular cliffs and stunning mountains in west Ho Chi Minh. Then, we cross the rubber plantation to Ho Chi Minh highways (former Ho Chi Minh trails). Pass some small towns before we follow a small track cross through lush farmlands and cycle along River to Phong Nha.

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993. Paradise Cave is one of the most beautiful Caves in Phong Nha. However, it's an incredible home to the 360-million-years-old rock formations, the 31km long, the longest and the most beautiful in Asia, the central province of Quang Binh. The countryside and surroundings in Phong Nha are fantastic. The small town and it's surroundings have some colonist buildings ring by limestone mountain ranges, lush foothill farms, rice paddies, rivers, and tiny villages make it more rustic and spectacular.

We have a full-day guided tour to explore the most beautiful Caves of Paradise, Dark with zipline adventures to mud bathing, swimming. After breakfast, we travel by bus on Ho Chi Minh road to Paradise Cave, spend 3 hours exploring this cave, and travel by bus to a restaurant for lunch. After we take zip line cable to Dark Cave, then take mud bathing and enjoy swimming. Finally, we return to Phong Nha town on Ho Chi Minh road, through mountain ranges, valleys, and tropical rainforests. Dine with the team and stay one more night in the town

After breakfast at the hotel, a private transfer you to Dong Hoi Airport for an internal flight to Ha Noi. On arriving at Noi Bai Airport, greet your guide and driver, and transfer you to the city centre to check-in hotel. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, and is situated in northern Vietnam on the western Red Riverbank. The capital city offers a charming blend of ancient and colonial buildings. It would be best if you undoubtedly missed many things in Hanoi, with its rich culture and history of ancient Thang Long capital, and colonial' historic influenced sites, and modern historic achievements.

In the afternoon take a guided tour walking through Ha Noi's Old Quarter, with 36 narrow streets named what product for sales. , Opera House, Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Halong Bay is one of the most amazing natural wonders with thousands of islands, including; beaches, caves, and fishing villages. You are picked up at your hotels at 8:00 am, then you enjoy 3 hours of driving by vehicle to Ha Long.

Enjoy the beauty of the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay, heading to Vung Vieng fishing village – one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay to see the life of local fishermen. After breakfast, we check out the hotel for the support vehicle transfer to Da Nang. Warm-up our body to challenge the Pass. Today adventure ride will be divided into 2 sections. In the morning, a mountain top challenge is 12 km of Hai Van Pass and rides downhill another 12 km to Lang Co beach for lunch. It's an opportunity for mountain bike lovers. The option for whose love to reach the mountain pass is to sit on the support vehicle instead of riding up.

From the top, you view spectacular scenery, the ocean bay of Da Nang. The last section is after lunch, and we continue our ride from Tu Hien Bridge- a seaside village. The routes are undulating, rising more down than up in the peninsula, along lakes and lagoons. Ride past colourful quaint huge cemeteries, ancient pagodas, and lush farms of vegetables and smaller towns.

Enjoy the most significant landscapes, past tiny roof fishing sampans, and hundreds of small fishing alongside. Quang Tri and DMZ area is the most dangerous battle in Vietnam War. The one well-known historic site is Hien Luong Bridge - over the Ben Hai River. The river location is the 17 parallel and was the divided line between North and South Vietnam. Quang Tri citadel was built in 1809, but most was destroyed during the Vietnam War. The most dangerous battle began on 28 June 1972 and lasted 81 days until 16 September 1972. It became the tomb of thousands of Vietnamese soldiers.

We'll start early in the morning at 7:30 with a visit to the Imperial Purple Citadel. Hue became the capital city of feudalism Vietnam after Nguyen Anh Lord reunified the country. He built up the Imperial Citadel in 1802, and the feudalism society ended in 1945. After an hour visiting the Imperial, take a short vehicle drive to the seaside village, where you explore various scenery; quaint hamlets and beautiful shore. The routes are unpaved trails, Past old village gates, colourful traditional temples and pagodas along the coast.

Today you will have a seafood lunch at the local beach before the ride continues to Quang Ancient Citadel. The route to Citadel is relatively flat concrete paths, passing old villages and many old pretty houses with internal courtyards. The rural ways are smooth concrete and zig-zag through lush, fertile vegetable fields with narrow bridges over the canals and rivers. Visit Quang Tri Citadel, take a water break, and learn more about the remains of the Old Citadel with well-informed about the battle in 1972. Afterward, we continue the day along the river, spending more time on country back roads, sometimes traveling locally, stopping at some pagodas, enjoy peaceful scenery along the way to Dong Ha.

Followed by breakfast at the hotel, we check out and travel by support vehicle to Hien Luong Bridge,- Ben Hai River was the boundary between North and South Vietnam was 76.1 km in length and crossed from east to west near the Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. The DMZ- Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone was established as the borderline between North and South Vietnam from July 1954 to 1976. With 81 fierce days and nights at Quang Tri.

We walk on the historic bridge to another side, take some photos, view the peaceful Ben Hai River, and visit its History Museum before starting the morning ride from this museum to Vinh Moc Tunnels. We cycle on tranquil back roads along this river, past lotus fields and several hamlets. We will stop at Cua Tung fishing Town to get an excellent opportunity to explore the live fishing market, walk the fishing port, and ride to Cua Tung Bridge to view beautiful beaches and the town. Enjoy the Vietnamese coffee, snacks, fresh fruits at a local restaurant faced to the sea. Then we pick up the bikes and continue biking on a coastal route to Vinh Moc Tunnels, and we pass by sandy beaches along the ways.

After lunch, we'll transfer 2. hours to Dong Hoi, continue the day with exploring the authentic villages alongside mountain hills and quiet rivers. See buffalos on paddy fields, elderly with colonial hats working on farmlands, cycle on dirt tracks until we leave the jungle, and ride intensely into farmland along the mountain on narrow pathways. Have a great view of the spectacular cliffs and stunning mountains in west Ho Chi Minh. Then, we cross the rubber plantation to Ho Chi Minh highways (former Ho Chi Minh trails). Pass some small towns before we follow a small track cross through lush farmlands and cycle along River to Phong Nha.

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993. Paradise Cave is one of the most beautiful Caves in Phong Nha. However, it's an incredible home to the 360-million-years-old rock formations, the 31km long, the longest and the most beautiful in Asia, the central province of Quang Binh. The countryside and surroundings in Phong Nha are fantastic. The small town and it's surroundings have some colonist buildings ring by limestone mountain ranges, lush foothill farms, rice paddies, rivers, and tiny villages make it more rustic and spectacular.

We have a full-day guided tour to explore the most beautiful Caves of Paradise, Dark with zipline adventures to mud bathing, swimming. After breakfast, we travel by bus on Ho Chi Minh road to Paradise Cave, spend 3 hours exploring this cave, and travel by bus to a restaurant for lunch. After we take zip line cable to Dark Cave, then take mud bathing and enjoy swimming. Finally, we return to Phong Nha town on Ho Chi Minh road, through mountain ranges, valleys, and tropical rainforests. Dine with the team and stay one more night in the town

After breakfast at the hotel, a private transfer you to Dong Hoi Airport for an internal flight to Ha Noi. On arriving at Noi Bai Airport, greet your guide and driver, and transfer you to the city centre to check-in hotel. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, and is situated in northern Vietnam on the western Red Riverbank. The capital city offers a charming blend of ancient and colonial buildings. It would be best if you undoubtedly missed many things in Hanoi, with its rich culture and history of ancient Thang Long capital, and colonial' historic influenced sites, and modern historic achievements.

In the afternoon take a guided tour walking through Ha Noi's Old Quarter, with 36 narrow streets named what product for sales. , Opera House, Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Halong Bay is one of the most amazing natural wonders with thousands of islands, including; beaches, caves, and fishing villages. You are picked up at your hotels at 8:00 am, then you enjoy 3 hours of driving by vehicle to Ha Long.

Get on board at 11:30 am. Get on board and enjoy welcome drinks. Lunch on board. Enjoy the beauty of the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay, heading to Vung Vieng fishing village – one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay to see the life of local fishermen. Visit  Vung Vieng Fishing Village by kayak or circular boats.

Return to Oriental Sails and have a bath, then relax as the sun starts to set. Enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar and on the sun deck while the cooking demonstration is organizing. Dinner on board, and start socializing with other guests, night squid fishing, or laze around. Singing and dancing activities are available till 22h00.
