2:
Tra Vinh- Can Tho
25 - 65 km
As dawn softens the horizon, we set out to immerse ourselves in the gentle rhythms of Khmer life and culture. The Khmer community, deeply rooted and enduring, dwells in close harmony with their sacred temples—quiet sanctuaries that have watched over generations. We cycle along open rural paths, gliding past shimmering rice fields toward tranquil Khmer hamlets. Along the way, we pause at serene Theravada temples, guardians of one of the oldest living traditions of Buddhism, where ancient wisdom continues to breathe through time. Here, the story of Buddhism unfolds—from its earliest origins to the diverse branches of today, including Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana—each a unique expression of a shared spiritual heritage.
Our journey winds through vast agricultural landscapes, where life moves with the seasons. As we ride, cheerful children rush to the roadside, their laughter ringing in the air, hands waving enthusiastically—soon, you’ll find your own arms delightfully weary from returning their joyful greetings. Even now, the Khmer people continue to cultivate their land in time-honored ways, preserving traditions that have shaped their identity for centuries.
We pause for a well-earned lunch in the charming town of Cầu Kè, savoring a moment of rest before continuing onward. After a brief 30-minute transfer, we regroup and resume our ride, following scenic tracks that meander through the countryside. Crossing narrow rivers by small ferries, we journey ever closer to the vibrant heart of Cần Thơ City, where refreshing drinks and a sense of accomplishment await. Finally, sit back and relax during the transfer into the city, letting the day’s memories settle like a soft, golden glow.

Day
3:
Can Tho- Long Xuyen- Chau Doc
25 - 55 km
Begin the day with a gentle breakfast, then bid farewell to your hotel as the first light of morning beckons you onward. Glide across the Mekong’s shimmering waters by motorized boat to reach one of the delta’s most mesmerizing spectacles—the grand floating market. Here, the river awakens in a vibrant symphony of life: boats of every shape and size drift and dance upon the current, laden with heaps of sun-ripened fruits and goods of every kind. Traders call out across the water, transactions unfold from vessel to vessel, and the entire scene pulses with a rhythm both ancient and alive. Words can scarcely capture its scale and spirit—better to simply watch, listen, and let the moment unfold before your eyes.
After this lively encounter, step ashore and set off on a tranquil morning ride through the peaceful enclaves of Phong Dien and Thoi Lai. Follow winding paths that weave through a tapestry of waterways and verdant villages, pausing often to discover humble farms, bustling little markets, and the quiet charm of riverside life.
A delightful lunch awaits, offering time to rest and savor local flavors before a scenic 2.5-hour transfer to Chau Phu District. From here, embark on an enchanting afternoon ride toward the sacred silhouette of Sam Mountain in Chau Doc. Pedal leisurely through expansive rice paddies that ripple like emerald seas, passing through sleepy hamlets and past vibrant Vietnamese pagodas adorned with towering Buddha statues. Trace the edges of man-made canals, where thatched shelters and swaying palms frame the countryside, and elevated farms hint at the ingenuity of delta life.
As the day softens into golden light, the landscape reveals its most poetic hues—an idyllic harmony of nature and culture. With Sam Mountain rising gently in the distance, conclude your journey with a comfortable transfer into Chau Doc town, carrying with you the lingering beauty of a day well spent.
