Hoi An’s countryside offers one of the most authentic experiences in central Vietnam. Here, time seems to slow down among age-old villages, traditional homes with lush backyards, shaded forests, and neatly lined vegetable gardens alongside time-honored craft workshops.

Cycling is the perfect way to immerse yourself in local culture and discover the rhythms of rural life. Follow scenic routes that wind through rice fields, rivers, islands, and traditional handicraft villages—each turn revealing a new, unforgettable moment.

Pedal along peaceful country roads, take in the serene landscapes, and visit Tra Que Vegetable Village, where you can meet local farmers and witness their daily routines. Continue across the Thu Bon River to explore the charming villages of Cam Kim Island, known for their traditional crafts. Your journey culminates at the remarkable My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in history and surrounded by lush jungle.

Begin your day with a warm welcome as your guide meets you at your hotel in Hoi An at 8:00 AM. From there, enjoy a short transfer to our local bike station, where you’ll be fitted with a comfortable bicycle and helmet—ready to set off on your countryside adventure.

Your journey starts with a scenic ride from Hoi An to Cam Kim Island, crossing the river on a narrow local ferry. Once on the island, pedal through peaceful rural landscapes, where everyday life unfolds along winding paths lined with farms, rivers, creeks, and ancient canals.

As you cycle through charming villages, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop and connect with local families. Step inside traditional homes to discover age-old crafts, such as weaving colorful straw sleeping mats and creating simple farming tools. Along the way, take in the lush greenery of rice paddies, spot water buffalo at work, and cross rustic bamboo bridges that add to the authentic charm of the route.

The relaxed pace allows for frequent breaks—perfect for capturing photos, tasting homemade rice wine, and gaining insight into the genuine rhythm of countryside life while meeting friendly locals.

Around 11:30 AM, arrive at a local family home where you’ll be welcomed to join a hands-on cooking experience. Learn how to make traditional Hoi An noodles and the beloved Banh Dap (cracked rice pancake). Afterward, sit down and enjoy a delicious homemade lunch featuring the dishes you’ve helped prepare.

To conclude your journey, your bicycles will be loaded onto a private boat as you unwind on a gentle cruise back to Hoi An, soaking in the tranquil river views.
