Lang Co- Da Nang- Hoi An
25 - 55 km
After breakfast, we set off with a gentle warm-up ride before tackling the iconic Hai Van Pass. Though not long, this scenic coastal route is a traveler’s highlight, winding along a mountain spur with sweeping views over the East Sea.
Climbing through the Truong Son mountain range to about 500 meters, the pass features steady 5–10% gradients. We’ll pause at scenic viewpoints to enjoy the panorama and capture photos. At the summit, explore old bunkers, radio stations, and traditional gates before an exhilarating descent toward Da Nang along the coast.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue on flat coastal roads to Marble Mountains, where a short hike reveals caves and Buddhist sanctuaries hidden in the hills. In the late afternoon, we cycle on to Hoi An, arriving in time to soak up its charming, lantern-lit atmosphere.
We are now home in New York (where it's cold!), and i wanted to thank you for an excellent trip. Everything worked out very well, and Mr. Thieu was a wonderful guide and travel companion. 08-12 January 2024
We did a 3 day private tour for 5 family members in the area around Hoi-An. Our guide Ma Thieu was excellent. The bikes were brand new. Ma Thieu’s knowledge of all the back roads and small paths through rice fields was extraordinary. Excellent trip. Vietnam Backroads planning was very thorough. We had a great time. A highlight of our 2 weeks in Vietnam. 22 - 24 February 2024
