Cycling Adventures - Central Coast - Hue to Saigon 9 days

After breakfast, we take a short vehicle transfer out of the bustling traffic city to a peaceful village. The morning's ride begins with fantastic routes that take us through the scenic countryside, the stunning landscapes along the coastal paths. We will immerse ourselves in rustic farmlands and ancient colourful pagoda and temples. Pedalling along the lagoon, pass many small fishing villages. Then we turn into a concrete way that leads us to a local beach- Vinh Hien. It's beautiful views of the river mouths and fishing port by the sea. Enjoy seafood lunch in Lang Co Beach before we challenge Hai Van Pass. Lang Co Beach and its fishing villages are located right at the foot of Hai Van Pass's mountain. It's about 12 km on a winding road up to the peak but less traffic because there are vehicle tunnels. Hai Van Pass's spectacular mountain scenery, jungle and scenic beauty of Da Nang Bay and Lang Co Beach are among the country's most stunning landscapes. After half an hour for coffee, snacks, fresh fruit and enjoy the scenery, taking photos, then we ride down the Pass, turn left and follow the coat, take a transfer to Hoi An.

My Son Hindu Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a great sample of the ancient Champa civilization located in the southern part of Vietnam. It was Champa independent state from around the 2nd to the 17th century and became a part of Vietnam. The impressive Hindu-themed ruins feature many beautiful stone sculptures, temples and towers in tropical jungle surroundings. A short support vehicle takes us out of Hoi An Town to cycle to My Son. Many small islands are connecting to mainlands by new bridges, so we have a chance to explore tiny villages on islands. We cross Thu Bon River on the old bridge-now use for bicycle moped only before we turn right and keep on biking along the river, past many local furniture factories and small markets before green farms along the way. Then we carry on biking to the mainland on a rural road, ride past sugar canes plantation along foothills before spending an hour and a half exploring the ruined My Son Sanctuary. Lunch en route before we return to Hoi An by support vehicle.

From the hotel, we cross Thu Bon River on the new bridge, cross Thu Bon River to authentic villages, explore entirely villager life, enjoy an excellent opportunity to see many un-modernized towns, see thatch houses, buffaloes on rice fields, bamboo bridges, and remote hamlets. Many small markets and local homes make fishing nets on country roads through villages along the small rivers where locals will stop and see how locals do their business. Meet and chat with the friendly and welcoming locals at their homes. There will be many stops at historical sites and colorful pagodas. We have lunch at a local restaurant before continuing our fabulous ride through the farmlands. The road is natural countryside, lush farmlands. Great opportunity to see many unspoiled villages on your cycling routes. Ride along a small river and then follow the minor road to the Sea mouth, take a ferry to Tam Hai Island, then the second ferry to the mainland, and continue to experience local life through rustic villages to My Lai village, visit the memorial before we rest on vehicle transfer to Quang Ngai.

The morning ride is about 45km, and the ride will start from Tra Khuc River, where we admire beautiful scenery from Co Luy Bridge near the Ocean. We will see the ordinary people living in the backwaters. The area offers incredible views through the river network with photo opportunities of stunning scenery along old villages with lined bamboo trees. The varied bike routes also take you through nostalgic villages, ancient temples, and pagodas across the lovely countryside, experience the culture, see the farmers harvesting rice crops, and see tranquil towns. Visit a traditional pagoda, and pass by salt fields. There are many non-tourist areas and natural countryside to explore, past many small local markets, little towns, and lush farmlands.

Break for lunch in Sa Huynh by the beach before a 30-minute transfer to the outskirts of Tam Quan for the entire afternoon coast route cycling. Enjoy slowly riding on small paths along lovely sandy beaches where locals enjoy swimming daily. Ride through Tam Quan small town, passing a lively tiny fishing village and fishing port before we speed up gentle hills to the coast. Most of it is easily accessible along narrow leafy roads and an extensive network of dirt tracks. We travel through villages among coconut trees, past fishing villages, and rolling small hills in the afternoon. So you get to see the exciting places only the locals know, take a leisurely bicycle ride easily along picturesque coastal back roads, and witness the way of life of the rural area and lagoons. We make many stops to capture stunning landscapes that will be a treasure for your lifetime. Enjoy cycling along the fishing villages to De Ghi where we hop on vehicles to have a transfer to Quy Nhon

Today is a long day for us to explore the magnificent mountainous area scenery and stop at the Sea Cliff of Stone Plates. “Locals called Ganh Da Dia” The rocks are dark lava columns with roughly flat surfaces of different shapes.

After a leisurely breakfast, a 30-minute transfer takes us to rural Dist to start this morning ride. We cycle through tiny villages and rice paddies and stop at local families making bamboo brackets before we undulate on paths, then ride along the small river to La Hai. The routes offer amazing sceneries along back roads, charming villages, and a valley of rice paddies. We continue the day riding along the railways, racing with Reunification Express's trains, and visiting a beautiful pagoda. Lunch en route to Tuy Hoa. Following lunch, the quiet back road along the sleepy river and dirt tracks along the ocean give us more chances to meet locals along fishing villages with many basket bamboo boats. There are many stops at tiny towns for a coffee break and fruit. Then we continue cycling on the hilly countryside road to Da Dia Reef.

Ganh Da Dia is a seashore area of uniformly interlocking basalt rock columns located along the coast in An Ninh Dong Commune, Tuy An District, Phu Yen. The site is about 100 meters wide and 250 meters long, with an estimated 35,000 columns of basalt rocks. The rocks are dark lava columns with roughly flat surfaces of different shapes - round, pentagon, hexagon, polygon, etc. Locals call Ghenh Da Dia. These rock columns were created from volcanic eruptions millions of years ago; when the molten basalt flows met cold water, they solidified and shaped these rare polygonal formations due to thermal contraction effects after spending time seeing incredible rock shapes made by nature. We ride on the small concrete path through rice paddy fields and a lagoon to An Hai. We ride through tapioca farmlands and sweet potatoes and then to the coast to Tuy Hoa City.

After a quick transfer out of the city, your guide will choose the best routes through vibrant villages' farmlands, rice fields, and small local markets. Say hello to kids going to school by bicycle. Ride passes, primary schools and some railway station points enjoy lovely scenery along country paths before we turn to the coastal line and keep biking to Vung Ro Bay. Enjoy a seafood lunch at Dai Lanh Beach. After lunch, enjoy a fantastic ride of 30km on paths, passing salt fields, pleasant countryside, and mountainous scenery along the way to Van Gia town. Have a two hours transfer to Nha Trang city. 

Da Lat is a small town in the Central Highlands region. The city is well known for its variety of delicious food, sweets, cauliflowers, artichoke, thousands of flowers, etc. The French started to build the resort with the first wooden hotel in 1907. Later the railway station, power station, church, and so on were constructed. The new road from Dalat to Nha Trang throughs the spectacular mountain ranges, the tropical forest offers incredible scenery.

Today's ride is the opposite way, starting in Nha Trang, a seaside city, and finishes in Dalat, central highlands 1500 meters above sea levels. It is challenging for us to conquer 29 km up only.

We will challenge some small hills and rustic countryside by bicycle and admire the spectacular mountain views of Khanh Le by the support vehicle to Khanh Le mountain top. Stop at some nice place for looking over the valleys, waterfall, rainforests, and lush country farms.

After breakfast, the support vehicles take us to Dien Khanh Citadel. We take a leisurely bike ride to explore villages along the river, past sugar cane farms, rice paddy fields, foothill farmland, and old French Villas. Make some stops at the sites and coffee breaks at markets along bike routes. Next, we carry on this on paths through beautiful countryside along the mountain to Khanh Vinh. After lunch, we enjoy vehicle drive 29 km on a winding road, through the mountain range with the views of valleys, tropical rainforest to the peak. Follow the mountain road up and down with some small hills to Bidoup - Nui Ba National Park. Finally, we have a transfer to Dalat -Honeymoon City.

After breakfast, check out for an airport transfer to Lien Khuong Airport and fly to Ho Chi Minh to connect to your international flight. Tour End!
