Pedal along quiet, off-the-beaten-track paths in Vinh Long, Can Tho, and Chau Doc, where life flows gently between lush rice paddies, swaying palms, and timeless riverside villages.


Cross into Cambodia and step back in time as you explore the hauntingly beautiful ruins of Sambor Prei Kuk, a sacred cradle of ancient civilization. Continue to the awe-inspiring majesty of Angkor Wat, where soaring towers and intricate carvings rise from the jungle in breathtaking harmony.


Along the way, immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Vietnamese and Cambodian cultures—warm smiles, vibrant markets, and traditions that have endured for centuries. Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, where the Vietnam Backroads team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.


At 13:00, set out on a guided walking tour through Ho Chi Minh City’s vibrant streets, exploring key cultural and historical landmarks, including the Reunification Palace, the Central Post Office, and the War Remnants Museum.


Continue along Dong Khoi Street, passing iconic sites such as the renowned Nam Kha Restaurant, and the historic Caravelle, Continental, and Majestic hotels, as well as the Opera House and City Hall.


In the evening, enjoy dinner with the group at one of the city centre’s well-known restaurants.

8:00 AM – Depart from the hotel and take a shuttle transfer of approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to the outskirts of Tan An City. From there, begin a scenic 25 km ride across beautiful rice paddies, where you can enjoy the peaceful countryside and observe farmers planting and harvesting rice, as well as passing through fruit orchards and rustic villages. Stop for lunch in My Tho at the Mekong Restop Restaurant.


After lunch, continue with another shuttle transfer of about 1 hour to Cay Lay District. Here, pick up your bikes for a relaxing afternoon ride to Cai Be. The route is approximately 12 km and offers a wonderful glimpse into the daily lives of people living along the waterways of the Mekong River’s branches.


Along the way, make stops to visit local workshops producing coconut candy and puffed rice. Upon arrival, check in at the Mekong Riverside Boutique Resort & Spa and enjoy the sunset by the pool.

We begin the day cycling directly from the resort, following shaded back roads through lush orchards to Ba Kiet—home to one of the oldest traditional wooden houses along the creek. Here, you’ll gain insight into the unique three-compartment architecture typical of the Mekong Delta, while enjoying a refreshing glass of Vietnamese ca phe sua da.


We then continue along peaceful concrete paths that wind beside the river, arriving at the local Cai Be pier. From here, we board the Cai Be Princess Boat for a scenic 45-minute cruise across the Upper Mekong River to DOng Phu Village on An Binh Island.


Back on land, we cycle through vibrant villages, passing kindergartens, primary schools, and lively local markets. Along the way, we stop at orchards to taste seasonal fruits and experience the rhythms of daily life in the delta. A delicious lunch awaits at a welcoming local homestay on the island.


In the afternoon, we take a ferry to Vinh Long City, followed by a 30-minute transfer to Ba Cang in Tam Binh District. From here, we continue riding through authentic countryside, including Khmer villages, crossing rivers by local ferry and visiting a beautiful Khmer temple.


The day concludes at Can Tho Suspension Bridge, where a short 30-minute transfer takes us to the Victoria Hotel. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure—explore the vibrant street food scene or dine at one of the city’s well-known riverside restaurants.

We check out and depart early at 7:30 a.m. from the hotel, boarding a motorboat to experience the lively Cai Rang Floating Market, where both wholesalers and retailers trade directly on the water. Each morning, hundreds of boats of all sizes gather here to buy and sell an incredible variety of goods—freshly harvested fruits and vegetables, rice, noodle soup, broken rice, and even coffee, all served from small floating kitchens.


After a short 10-minute transfer, we begin a scenic bike ride through the peaceful backwater countryside. This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Mekong Delta, surrounded by lush farmlands and shaded village paths. As we cycle along winding rivers and past banana plantations, the vibrant landscape unfolds at every turn. The morning ride covers approximately 22 km, offering a perfect balance of exploration and relaxation.


We then transfer for about an hour to our lunch stop. After lunch, a further 1.5-hour transfer brings us to the starting point of the afternoon ride.


The afternoon route spans around 15 km on smooth paths through fertile vegetable farms and aquaculture areas. Along the way, we pass Muslim stilt-house villages and occasionally ride alongside scenic riverbanks. There will be several stops to visit beautiful pagodas and local markets, providing insight into daily life in the region. At the end of the ride, we transfer a short distance to the hotel in town.

Today, we depart the capital and journey to Krong Stueng Saen in Kampong Thom, where we will spend the night at the charming Sambor Village Hotel.


After a scenic one-hour transfer to Prek Pnov District, we’ll begin an exciting cycling adventure to Udong. Riding through picturesque countryside and local villages, we’ll experience daily life up close, with friendly children waving as we pass by. This half-day ride strikes a perfect balance between activity and relaxation, allowing us to soak in the peaceful rural atmosphere at a comfortable pace.


We’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch at the market before climbing the steps to the hilltop stupa. From the summit, we’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of Phnom Penh in the distance and the surrounding lush green plains.


Afterward, we’ll relax during a comfortable three-hour transfer by air-conditioned vehicle to Krong Stueng Saen. Upon arrival, we’ll check in at Sambor Village Hotel.

Today, we explore the remarkable Angkor temple complex and its surroundings, gaining insight into the history and culture of the Angkor complex and the Khmer Empire. After breakfast, we set off by bike to discover iconic sites such as Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, and several lesser-known temples along scenic jungle trails.


We’ll stop at Ta Prohm, where massive tree roots entwine with ancient stone structures, creating a striking fusion of nature and architecture—one of the most picturesque and unforgettable sights in Angkor.
