Quan Ba is a district in Ha Giang Province, renowned for its spectacular mountain scenery and the famous Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate. Located about 50 km north of Ha Giang City, this scenic mountain pass serves as the gateway to the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark. From the summit, travellers are rewarded with panoramic views of winding roads, mist-covered mountains, lush valleys, and the iconic Twin Mountains (Fairy Bosom Hills), one of Ha Giang’s most recognizable landmarks. In 1939, the French built a massive wooden gate, approximately 1.5 meters thick, at this strategic location to separate the region from the rest of the province. Although the gate no longer exists, a marker bearing the name "Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate" in both Vietnamese and English remains, commemorating this historic site. Vietnam Cycling Adventures
