Cycling Hue -DMZ - Khe Sanh- A Luoi 4 days

We commence today's tour with Quang Tri Museum and Mine Action Visitor Center. The Mine Action Visitor Center is a joint venture between the international NGO–operated Project RENEW and the Department of Foreign Affairs, providing visitors with constantly updated information on the devastation caused and heart-warming stories of recovery and survival. Afterwards, the ride will start outside Dong Ha town, just about 10 minutes drives. Today's ride is about 30 km on small asphalt back roads through rice paddy fields,  lush hilly farmlands and the jungles. The routes are primarily undulating, and some are flat and smooth. There will be many stops to experience farmer life along the road and finish today's ride in Cam Lo District. Have a transfer to Ke Sanh township with stopping on the sideroad near Rockpile Hill for photo captures.

After breakfast, We travel by car to visit the well-known Khe Sanh Combat Base- Ta Con Military Airport. It opens for tourists with a museum. Many remains of weapons, warplanes, the airship used to transport troops and supplies, many US tanks, helicopters, guns, and military land and air transportations are displayed. Afterward, take a short drive to Dak Rong Bridge, the friendship bridge built by Cuban engineers. We cycle on west Ho Chi Minh, along the borders of Laos, toward A Luoi. The scenic ride is through spectacular mountain landscapes, tropical jungle up and down the quiet roads along the river. We will pass many tribe villages, small towns—lunch en route before we challenge Pe Ke Pass. Then we enjoy a downhill ride to A Lin then A Luoi.

A Luoi is a small town and closed to the Laos border. There were many small Viet Cong bases located alongside the fence and Ho Chi Minh trails. A Bia was a little base with a significant location, and then it was called the Hamburger Hill after ten days attacked by U.S Army troop soldiers, and supported by helicopters and artilery Finally, U.S soldiers controlled the A Bia bases. It happened in 1969, Tet Offensive. After breakfast, we trek 6 km to the peak of Hamburger Hill. See many hill bases and gallery photo rooms, where helicopters fall and view the beautiful scenery before rewinding down to transfer to Minh Mang tomb. Visit the beautiful mausoleum and its surroundings, lunch en-route before we cycle through the charming countryside of Hue. Past many mandarin houses, old pagodas on the back road, ride along some parts of Perfume River to Hue City.
