In the afternoon, a final demanding climb leads to a long descent into the quiet town of Thong Nong. From here, gentler rolling roads guide us through peaceful countryside before a late transfer to Cao Bang City. It’s a rewarding day of remote adventure, cultural encounters, and spectacular mountain scenery.

After a leisurely, unhurried breakfast, we’ll transfer to the peaceful outskirts of Nguyen Binh, where we collect our bikes and begin pedaling along a winding, snake-like tarmac road toward Ba Be National Park. We’ll climb a series of gentle yet invigorating hills up to Phia Den National Park, followed by a smooth, scenic descent into picturesque, emerald valleys.


Our route continues through lush rice terrace fields, where we’ll pause for a delightful lunch en route, surrounded by tranquil rural landscapes. In the afternoon, we ride across rolling hills and through whispering bamboo forests that line the hillsides, gradually making our way to Ba Be national park.


Renowned as one of Vietnam’s oldest and most breathtaking national parks, Ba Be captivates with its dramatic limestone mountains, dense semi-tropical monsoon rainforest, and the largest natural freshwater lake in the country—an idyllic haven of pristine beauty and serenity.

We’ll embark on a scenic, tranquil boat journey across Ba Be Lake, drifting into the mysterious depths of Puong Cave. The leisurely cruise continues to the charming Cam Ha Village, where you can experience the peaceful, authentic rhythm of Tay life before rejoining the boat and heading upstream along the serene Nang River.


Over time, the river has gently carved through majestic karst mountains, creating a magnificent natural tunnel adorned with fascinating rock formations. After this memorable, immersive journey, we disembark at the park gate, enjoy a delicious lunch, and return to Hanoi in comfort. The tour concludes.
