A paradise for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, Cat Tien National Park is one of Vietnam’s most remarkable natural treasures and one of six UNESCO-recognized Biosphere Reserves in the country. Spanning over 71,920 hectares, the park encompasses South Cat Tien, Cat Loc, and West Cat Tien, protecting one of the largest remaining areas of lowland tropical rainforest in Vietnam.

Renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity, Cat Tien is home to an impressive array of rare, endemic, and endangered flora and fauna. Its diverse ecosystems—including lush tropical forests, wetlands, grasslands, and riverine habitats—provide sanctuary for a wealth of wildlife. Visitors may encounter iconic species such as Asian elephants, sun bears, gaur, and numerous smaller mammals that thrive within the park’s protected landscapes.

As the most important biodiversity hotspot in southern Vietnam, Cat Tien National Park is a haven for scientists, conservationists, birdwatchers, and wildlife enthusiasts alike. More than 350 bird species have been recorded here, including several rare and endangered birds such as Germain’s Peacock-Pheasant, Bar-bellied Pitta, and the elusive Siamese Fireback. The park’s rich natural heritage and exceptional ecological value make it one of the finest destinations in Vietnam for wildlife observation, eco-tourism, and immersive rainforest adventures.
